Awards

Each year, NYSDRA presents awards to worthy individuals and/or organizations. We are always accepting nominations for these awards. Please take a moment to review the criteria for NYSDRA's two major awards: the Andrew Thomas PeaceBuilder Award and the Lawrence Cooke Peace Innovator Award. If you know of someone who meets the criteria, please make a nomination using the links provided.

The Andrew Thomas PeaceBuilder Award was established in 1996 to honor individuals and organizations that have promoted the field of alternative dispute resolution.  Selection of recipients is based on such criteria as promoting the welfare of society as a public official, community volunteer or social service organization in support of a peaceful community, and advocating for peaceful alternative dispute resolution means for resolving conflict. The award also reflects contributions global in scope (national or international). To make a nomination for the Andrew Thomas PeaceBuilder Award, click here.
