Custody-Visitation Mediation
 
Community Mediation Services Training Institute (CMSTI), a renowned training entity with more than 30 years of experience in the field of community and family mediation, announces its Custody-Visitation Mediation Training Seminar.
 
The Custody and Visitation Training is a specialized, two-day training.  This course deals with mediating parental disputes by focusing on the needs of the children and the value and importance of the family.  Completion of the Basic Mediation Training is required before taking this training.   
 
The fee associated with this training is $500 and is payable by check, money order, credit card or cash.  A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due ten days prior to the training, payable by check, money order or credit card. 
 
This training has been approved by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board for 16 CLE credits (Skills – 15;  Ethics – 1)
 
Tuition waivers and need-based scholarships are available for New York Attorneys.
Discounts are available for full-time graduate students and veterans.
 
TRAINERS - Mark Kleiman, Esq. and Michelle M. Leonard-Smith, Esq. will lead the training.  Mark and Michelle, an experienced team with more than 38 years of combined mediation trainer experience and mediation practice, are certified by the NYS Unified Court System’s Community Dispute Resolution Centers Program. 
 
Trainings are Part 146 approved by the NYS Unified Court System’s Office of ADR Programs for minimum qualification to be on court mediation panels. (Please note that final placement on any court roster is at the discretion of the local Administrative Judge and participation in a course that is either approved or pending approval does not guarantee placement on a local court roster.)
