The Resolution Center of Jefferson & Lewis Counties will be offering Basic Mediation Training that is designed to meet the Unified Court System’s requirements for training and certifying
mediators to practice in New York State.
~This training is ONLY offered every few years and is limited to 20 seats~

About the Instructors:

Peter Glassman, Esq., NYS Agricultural Mediation Program Director is a Capital District native, mediator and attorney. Peter has been a community mediator since 1990 and a family and divorce mediator since 1991. He is certified by the NYS Unified Court System as a mediation trainer and has led a variety of trainings on conflict resolu-tion and mediation in diverse settings. Peter brings a wealth of experience in constructively managing disputes and managing change between individuals and within organizations. Peter received his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and his Juris Doctor degree from Howard University School of Law.

Laurel Barber, Mediation Program Director, Resolution Center of Jeff-Lewis Counties. In 2005 Laurel was certi-fied as a Basic Mediation volunteer mediator through the Resolution Center and has since received certification in Parent/Teen, Parenting Plan and EEO Mediation. That same year she completed Syracuse University’s Divorce Mediation course. Since then Laurel has been trained in Agricultural, Special Education and Elder Care Mediation and subsequently joined the Resolution Center’s staff in July 2012 as the Mediation Program Director.
