Executive Director

Charlotte has been a mediator since 1992 and specializes in family and community conflicts. From 2004 to 2006, she was the Program Manager of the Independent Mediation Assistance Program (IMAP) for survivors of clergy sexual abuse in the Albany Diocese. Charlotte is a past board member of the Greene County Cooperative Extension and currently serves as director of her local food pantry as well as on the Board of the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York. Charlotte earned her Juris Doctor from Yale University.

Director of Program Operations

Alison joined NYSDRA in June 2007 as the Director of Member Services and Event Planning. In February 2012, she became Director of Program Operations, working on contract programs such as the State Education Department's Special Education Mediation and the State Department of Health's Early Intervention Mediation Program. Alison also provides support for Board operations and the statewide advocacy campaign. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies from Providence College.

Claudia brings over 20 years of experience as a farmer and sustainable food system activist. She and her husband own and operate Little Seed Gardens, a 97-acre family farm in the Hudson Valley region. Claudia has worked on agriculture related projects with diverse stakeholders and has been a mentor to young farmers on farm as well as through the Northeast Organic Farming Association of New York mentoring programs.
Claudia obtained her master’s degree in conflict resolution with a concentration in environmental conflict from Antioch University Midwest. She is also a graduate of Mediate Your Life where she was trained in compassionate communication and mediation.

New York State Agricultural Mediation Program Director

Christine joined NYSDRA in 2009 as the Program Manager of the New York State Agricultural Mediation Program (NYSAMP). She was promoted to Program Director in 2016. Prior to joining NYSDRA, Chris worked as a Constituent Aide for NYS Senator James L. Seward, and more recently, as a Temporary Program Technician for the USDA Farm Service Agency in Delaware and Otsego Counties. Prior to her employment with Senator Seward, she had been active in 4H, Farm Bureau, and Cornell Cooperative Extension. Chris’ family operates a dairy farm in Otsego County. She is a graduate of Cornell University.

Lemon Law Arbitration Program Manager

Elise joined NYSDRA in 2015 as the Lemon Law Arbitration Program Manager. She has a background in public administration and earned a Master of Public Administration in 2013. Prior to joining NYSDRA’s staff, Elise interned with NYSDRA for nearly a year while attending Albany Law School. She was first introduced to the field of alternative dispute resolution as an intern with NYSDRA and studied mediation and negotiation during her graduate schooling. Elise is admitted to practice law in New York State.


Director of Marketing and Member Services

Carla joined NYSDRA in 2014, bringing over 17 years of corporate marketing and business development experience. Prior to joining NYSDRA, she worked in the marketing department at Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP, the Capital Region’s largest law firm. Carla is versed in strategic direction, brand awareness, event and meeting planning, collateral design, database management, and media relations. She handles all of NYSDRA's marketing initiatives, manages member relations and benefits packages, and leads the planning for NYSDRA's annual conference. Additionally, she is the Program Manager for the New York State Education Department Adult Career and Continuing Education Services - Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR) mediation program and provides support for NYSDRA's statewide advocacy campaign. Carla received her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Management from Siena College.

Special Education Mediation Program Coordinator

Dr. Poole-Tracy received a Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, and Administration, in addition to a Master’s degree in Teacher Education from Columbia University. She has over 20 years’ experience in mediation and other forms of dispute resolution, both as a mediator and trainer. She is a veteran special education mediator, and has been certified for ten years. An active volunteer for the Center for Dispute Settlement in Rochester since 1993, she was honored in February as the recipient of their 2014 Community Service Award.
