Access for All: Practical Tools to Make Your Work More Inclusive
As mediators and ADR professionals, we strive to create processes that are fair, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of the communities we serve. But do the materials we share—our websites, flyers, forms, and outreach content—reflect those same values?
In this interactive session, we will explore how to make materials, websites, and communications more accessible—both for people with disabilities and for individuals with limited English proficiency.
Participants will gain a foundational understanding of digital and linguistic accessibility, including an overview of New York State legal requirements. We will demonstrate practical tools that can help make materials more inclusive, including the UserWay accessibility widget (used on our own website) and
Adobe Acrobat Pro’s accessibility checker for documents and marketing materials.
