The NYSDRA 2017 Annual Conference

NYSDRA's annual conference is scheduled for October 22-24 at the Holiday Inn Saratoga. We will be celebrating the past, grounding in the present, and imagining the future. There will be two full days of workshops. We hope you will join us.

The Andrew Thomas PeaceBuilder Award

The Andrew Thomas PeaceBuilder Award was established in 1996 to honor individuals and organizations that have promoted the field of dispute resolution. Selection of recipients is based on promoting the welfare of society as a public official, community volunteer or social service organization in support of a peaceful community, and advocating for peaceful dispute resolution means for resolving conflict. The award also reflects contributions national or international in scope. NYSDRA membership not required.  To nominate a candidate please click here. 



Carter Announces Her Planned Retirement;

NYSDRA Board Commences National Executive Director Search


ALBANY, NEW YORK, May 4, 2017 – After she was promoted by the New York State Dispute Resolution Association (NYSDRA) Board of Directors five years ago, Charlotte Carter today publicly announced her planned retirement from her role as NYSDRA Executive Director. Carter notified the NYSDRA Board of Directors of her desire to retire in late 2016 to ensure that the Board had enough planning time to commence the search for a new Executive Director, as well as to develop and implement a smooth transition plan in placing a new Executive Director.  For more information please click here.

2017 CDRC Annual Meeting



The Community Dispute Resolution Center (CDRC) Directors and Staff meeting at the Office of Court Administration on March 21-22, 2017. Jennifer Huttemann-Kall, Regina Ritcey, and Julie Loesch developed an agenda that focused attention to the foundational values and practices of community mediation.
