Meet Our Advisory Board

The New York State Dispute Resolution Association (NYSDRA), the statewide association for professionals and organizations involved in dispute resolution and conflict management, has established its inaugural Advisory Board. The five-member board brings together leaders from across the field of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) to provide strategic guidance, research, and insight to help advance NYSDRA’s mission and strengthen the role of ADR throughout New York State.

The Advisory Board will be chaired by Lawrence Marks, former Chief Administrative Judge of New York State, who oversaw the daily operations of the statewide court system for more than 30 years before retiring in 2022.

Judge Marks shared: “NYSDRA provides invaluable services to New Yorkers across the state in resolving conflicts outside of the traditional courtroom process and advocating for increased and more effective use of ADR. I am pleased to chair this new Advisory Board and support NYSDRA’s important work.”

Together, the Advisory Board will support NYSDRA’s efforts to expand the reach and effectiveness of dispute resolution across New York.
